Bugaria has many beautiful aspects and so many places to explore. We work hard to combine and show you the most out of the culture, history and natural beauty of our country. Thus, we are happy to introduce to your attention a three days tour of Rila Monastery, Plovdiv, Koprivshtitsa and Veliko Tarnovo. On the way, we would drive you in a comfortable vehicle so that you enjoy the picturesque countryside around. The tour includes guidance in a language of your choice (English, Russian, German or Italian), two nights with breakfast in four star hotels, admission fees.

ACTIVITY DETAILS

We recommend that the tour starts early in the morning, any day of the week - we would collect you from any point of your wish in Sofia city. In two hours drive we would reach the Rila Monastery - The biggest Orthodox Monastery in Bulgaria. We would dedicate one hour to this UNESCO-listed sightseeing, after which we may recommend you a nice restaurant to enjoy Balkan trout or any traditional lunch. We would then continue to The European Capital of Culture. We should arrive in Plovdiv in the early afternoon and to check-in to the hotel. This second day would continue with a walk through the longest pedestrian street in Bulgaria, observing sightseeings on the way like the ancient stadium of Philipoppolis, the statue of the Crazy Milyo and the regional mosque, up to the bridge above the Maritsa river. The tour program for this day would end with a nice walk through the art district - Kapana where you can find many handycraft shops and cozy restaurants that offer great food. The next day, we will take you around the old town of Plovdiv, enjoying a nice walk through old-style houses with traditional Bulgarian architecture and tiny paved streets. We shall visit the Roman stadium also known as "The Amphi-Theatre", the Hisar Kapia and the archeological complex on Nebet Tepe hill from where a beautiful panoramic scene of Plovdiv would retrieve. Around noon we would continue our journey to Koprivshtitsa - The legendary center of the revolution in Bulgaria. Once we reach Koprivshtitsa, we would observe the unique architecture that is so well preserved and will visit the Memorial Ossuary of April 20, housing the bones of those who died in the April Uprising. Furthermore, we would visit the "Kalachev most" - the bridge where the first shot of the April uprising was fired in 1876. Lunch time would be separated here before we head to The Capital of the Kings. After a three hours drive through the picturesque mountainous road, we would reach Veliko Tarnovo and will check-in to the hotel there. Visiting the famous "Light and Sound" would be optional - please, ask us about it before booking the tour. Last day of the tour is planned for exploring Veliko Tarnovo before we drive back to Sofia. In Veliko Tarnovo, we would show you the Asenevtsi monument - dedicated to the famous Bulgarian kings - Asen, Petar, Kaloyan and Asen II. We would then continue to the old town Varusha where you would be amazed of the many little craft shops for traditional Bulgarian household items and souvenirs. We would recommend you a place to have nice traditional lunch in one of the many traditional restaurants around. Top of the cake would be visiting of Tsarevets fortress and the Holy Forty Martyrs Church where the tombs of the Bulgarian Kings are. End of the tour would is in Sofia in the late evening after three days of consumption of the very best of Bulgaria!
